Happy New Year - 2010

A few months ago, I decided that in 2010 I would do a Picture of the Day for the entire year.

I will post a picture of Jeena and Maria here everyday! Instead of it just being a random picture, I have decided to take a picture of each Lady at 4 p.m., a picture of what they are doing at that time!

I will attempt to post the pictures everyday, as close to 4 p.m. as possible!

Sharing...

(Jeena loses the 'privilege' of TV/Movies if she doesn't have a good bedtime)

Last night the conversation went like this:

Jeena: I will have TV/Movies tomorrow.

Me: That's up to me.

Jeena: Mommy, sharing is good right?

Me: Yes of course.

Jeena: Then Mommy you should share your rules about TV/Movies and let me have them tomrorow.

Me: You know what the rules are, good night!

Feeling hot hot hot!

"Jeena go eat your potatoes now, they're cooled down."

"They stopped hotting Mommy?"

Left the room....

Today there were four 3 year olds at our house. They were all playing in Jeena's room. I went to check on them and when I walked in the room, Jeena was laying on her bed and the other 3 were climbing onto the bed, with Jeena saying "Come sleep with me, it will be fun!"

Thankfully they are all still at the innocent age! ;)

Chocolate!

Jeena is now NOT wearing pullups to bed anymore!! If she wakes up dry, then she gets 3 small wafers of dark chocolate!

This morning when she was eating the chocolate, she said "Mommy, I must be a chocolate machine!!" :)

The best kind of machine to be I think ;)

Story Time!

We have been going to Story Time weekly and on Thursday we were going to go again.

Jeena woke up Thursday morning and the first thing she said was "Mommy I don't want to go to Story Time because I don't want to listen to the teacher!"

At least she's honest!! We didn't go to Story Time, avoiding a possible meltdown! :)

Tattoos!

We were in Walmart and there was a man wearing a tank top, showing off his very decorated arms!

As we passed by him, Jeena said (not so quietly) "Mommy look at all the pretty pictures on his arms!!!"

He just smiled, not so sure how much he liked his tattoos being called pretty ;)

Boobs!

Let's just say that Jeena is discovering anatomy.... two stories that happened in one day...

1. We were sitting in church and everyone was singing. Jeena was sitting on my lap and touching my eyes and taking her hand away saying "Throwing your eyes away!" and the same to my nose, mouth, chin. Then she goes and touches my boobs and all of a sudden it was VERY quiet in the church and she said "Throwing your boobs away!" I have never seen my Mom laugh so hard, and her face be so red!!!!!

2. Jeena and I were in the washroom at home and I dropped my deoderant on the floor. Jeena said "Mommy, you dropped your boob powder!" I started laughing and asked what she meant. She said "Every day you go like this (puts the deoderant between her boobs and arm pit) and it makes your boobs smell better!"

What does that mean?!

Jeena: What does CRAP mean?

Me: What do you mean, when did you hear that word before?

Jeena: When you said "Aww CRAP your water isn't in your bed!"

Me: Oh... umm... maybe I should have said "Uh Oh" instead!

Jeena: So only older Mommies, like 6 or 10 year olds should say that word?

Me: Yes, that sounds good!

Her first Funny!!

Jeena put a picture of Boots on the fridge with a letter magnet and said 

"Look Mommy it's Alpha-Boots!!"

Woke up at SEVEN!!

Trying a new bedtime 'technique' tonight. I have been laying with Jeena until she falls asleep. Last night after she fell asleep (and I did too!), I attempted to get out of bed and my hips hurt way too much! So tonight I decided that she could try to fall asleep without me in her bed with her. 

I read her stories and tucked her in and said I was going to clean up a bit. 

Twenty minutes later, she runs to the kitchen and said "GUESS WHAT????" with a huge smile on her face!

I said "What is it?" 

And she said "I woke up at 7, look at the clock!!" 

Had to dash her excitement and tell her she hadn't slept yet..

Treats

Jeena gets a treat in the morning if she stays in her bed all night. 

The other night she came to my bed at 3 a.m. and I told her that she won't be getting a treat if she stays in my bed. She said "That's okay Mommy, my tummy is full from all the food I had today, I have no room for treats!"

Uh-huh!

Oops!

I just burped (classy, I know!) and 2 seconds later Jeena said "What did you NOT say?" with a very serious face and tone. 

My response was "Oops, excuse me!"

Jeena said "That's better Mama!"

Awww!

Jeena came to my bed at 6 a.m. one morning. At 6:30 a.m. I rolled over and asked her why she was there. Without a pause, she said "I just want to be with you Mama, you're my best friend!"

Umm okay! Guess that makes me cool?! ;)

Why I want a Brother!

We go for the u/s on the 26th and I ask Jeena every day if she wants a brother or a sister. For a couple weeks now she has answered 'brother'. 

Yesterday I asked her why a brother and she said '

"Because a brother is a boy and then I won't have to share my toys with him!"

Uh oh.. if this is a girl!! 

Not right!

Today we didn't go anywhere and I was putting Jeena to bed and she said 

"Where did we go today?" I told her nowhere and she said 

"Mama, that's not right, we should have!"
